Stephen Harper Hires Private Firm to Spy on Canadians

Not satisfied with simply having thugs beat up civilians and the media, Herr Harper has now resorted to actually spying on us while we're online.

As another good use of our tax dollars he has paid a media company thousands to deflect dissent.
The Harper government has been monitoring political messages online, and even correcting what it considers isinformation. One local expert says the government is taking things too far.Under the pilot program the Harper government paid a media company $75,000 to monitor and respond to online postings about the east coast seal hunt.UBC Computer Science professor and President of the BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association, Richard Rosenberg, says it seems unnecessary for the government to be going this far.

$75,000.00 for one policy. How many others are being monitored?

They have a poll asking, now that you know will you be more careful what you say online? No bloody way. I think I'll just say more now and to hell with that paranoid jackass.

We have a few of them hanging around the CAPP board. We've discovered that one is the sister in law of Miramichi MP Tilly O'Neill-Gordon. She's harmless. Same old jargon. "Neoconservative good - Progressive Conservative bad - Harper is a god." Hopefully, she's not being paid.
