Canada to Undergo Name Change to Reform Republic of North America Inc.

Now when I discussed the fact that Reform-Conservative MP Gerald Keddy presented a cheque, on behalf of Canadian taxpayers, with a Conservative logo prominently displayed; Keddy said it was a one of and not his fault.

But apparently, not only was this not the first time he did this, but he's not the only Reform-Conservative MP to have broken the rules.

Apparently they believe that we are no longer the country of Canada but the Republic of Reform-Conservatives. In fact they are no longer even calling it the Government of Canada, but the Harper Government. What in the hell is going on here? Is the Canadian taxpayer out of the loop now?

'Conservative' cheques over the line, opposition says

OTTAWA — The Harper government's political opponents are accusing Conservative MPs of using government advertising and communications — paid for by all taxpayers — to advance their own partisan interest. The NDP is so incensed it has asked parliamentary ethics commissioner Mary Dawson to launch an investigation.

Both the NDP and the Liberals
are upset about some recent advertising and public relations initiatives that they say veer over the line separating appropriate communications about government projects to partisan appeals for political favour ....
