I'm really going to miss Gilles Duceppe. He was better than anyone at holding the government to account.But his replacement, Hélène Laverdière, is more than qualified for her job as MP. I expect she will find a place in Layton's shadow cabinet.
She holds a PhD in sociology and has been a member of Canada's foreign service since 1992, serving in Washington, D.C., Dakar, Senegal and Santiago.
Another new MP that I think I'm going to like.
Uh-oh, the Harpies are gonna get her for that, spending too much time outside Canada!
