Stephen Harper Lied to Us? Say it Ain't So.

The Harper government has said that it did not try to interfere in getting special licensing for their Fox News North.

But I guess they were mistaken:
In September the newspaper [La Presse] reported documents obtained through an access to information request showing that Harper received a briefing note in July about Quebecor Media Inc.’s Sun TV News broadcasting application.

On Thursday La Presse reported on a new briefing note from Privy Council Clerk Wayne Wouters to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) that said the government should not be requesting information about licence applications at the CRTC.
"The government should not be requesting information about licence applications at the CRTC."

But they said they never requested any special considerations.

Stephen Harper wouldn't lie to us, would he?
