Award Winning Band Arcade Fire Joining our Youth to Save us From Harper

The award winning band, shown in the video with David bowie, are sending a clear message to Canadians.Vote.

The Conservatives do better if they can keep us turned off. We have to get people engaged, motivated and yes. Have them "Wake Up!"

I wonder if we could get more Canadian artists to join the students' flash mobs? Wouldn't that be great?

While Stephen Harper may be courting votes in the suburbs, the band behind The Suburbs has a counter-message. On their blog at arcadefire.com, Montreal-based Arcade Fire is urging Canadians to vote — just not for the Conservative Party. "Our current leader has championed some pretty destructive initiatives on everyone's behalf," the blog says. "It's really important to get out and vote on May 2nd."

Because they're right: "Canada is still a pretty good country, and worth fighting for."
