I guess Stephen Harper really does make the rules, even when it comes to stealing copyright material.He used a piece of a documentary in his human smuggling ad, and is now being sued.
Yoko Ono pulled his "Imagine" song off YouTube as copyright infringement. She's usually very generous with her husband's material, but Stephen Harper represents everything her husband was against.
Now we learn that the Conservatives stole footage from the Canada/Russia hockey series, in their tea party style ad.
He really believes that he's above the law.
Good for Yoko. Maybe stealing from a high profile person like John Lennon will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, the camel in this case being Harper.
ReplyDeleteI just got back to Canada but I already hear people say he's going to form another minority government. What's WITH Canadians, anyway? Why would they re-elect him?
I'd love to see what Michael Ignatieff could do to get our country back to where it used to be.
They are basing that prediction on the polls, which even seasoned pollsters are warning we shouldn't do. They are now only able to reach people 10-15% of the time. It used to be a 90% success rate.
ReplyDeleteMost people use cells now and screen calls at home. Our phone system allows two rings to determine if it is a 'telemarketer' and then hangs up. I always wait until the two rings have finished.
It's a different world and Pollsters are now relics in that world.
