Stephen Harper is Sneaky and un-Canadian? Now There's an Understatement

As anger and distrust spreads, our lovable little dictator is on the ropes. What will he do next? Running isn't helping. Lying has been a bust.

All his efforts to exploit the Haiti crisis fooled no one.

Is he finally on his way out, or does he have another trick up his sleeve? With this guy, any thing's possible.

I just heard that all his ministers will be handing out the medals at the Olympics. I wonder if they can do that right.

The latest poll reveals that the Liberals are gaining important ground, and the Reformers momentum has slowed to a little putt putt.

It's interesting that pollster Allan Gregg is suggesting that Harper is looking "... a little sneaky and un-Canadian."

Duh, ya' think? Where have you been the last four years?

Grits gaining ground in Ontario, Quebec

A new poll suggests a seismic political shift is under way, with the Conservatives off balance and the Liberals gaining traction in important areas. On the surface, the Harris-Decima survey conducted for The Canadian Press suggests a dead heat between the two parties, at 32 per cent each. The NDP was at 15 per cent, the Bloc Quebecois at 10, and the Greens at nine.

But Harris-Decima chairman Allan Gregg says the real story lies below the headline numbers. “What you have on the surface is a dead heat, but if you dig a little deeper, what you see is that the Liberals are clearly making some inroads into key, battleground constituencies.”

  1. Do we Stifle Greed or do we empower it !
Been running into many who find it very difficult to see people working for business types who make huge profits , yet pay very low wages forcing tax payers to provide very costly social supports like housing and heat top up. And a requirement to ask the Salvation Army or Harvest share to provide food basics , while profit take climbs with no policy to force any profit share back to workers getting the worker off social needs .
Many will say ANY JOB IS A JOB . but neglect to be concerned about the high levels of profit take that tax payers are being forced to subsidize in more ways than just tax cuts.
Some will indicate that some dollars get put back by SOME not ALL to needs in the area. But in reality one can start up a biz, take profit and more profit with no rules to halt tax dollars that go to workers needlessly .
So do we continue on this path , more "low prices " that force us to pay again for costly social supports. Or do we now ask by policy or voting with our pocket books, insisting at various profit levels that more profit go back to workers , getting off of needs rolls.
I know that the FEDS , The PROVINCE and local politicians need to find ways BUT the most effective would be for US to insist on a long term requirement for profit sharing that would save us dollars in the long term and help workers get a better feeling of worth and more.
We have a choice to pay once and then again for support provisions or We insure that we do not pay for overt profit takes , saving valuable tax dollars to be better spent !
    Your ideas , ideals next
